1928-2017

Eva Mae Reaves, 89, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2017. She moved to Pensacola in 1948 with her loving husband of 68 years, Harvey Reaves. Eva is survived by her husband, two daughters, Glenda (Tony) Parker and Charlene (James) Myers; five grandchildren: Jay (Julie) Reaves, Justin (Stephanie) Parker, Shelly (Kelly) Parker, Chris Myers, and Matt (Brittny) Myers; and six great-grandchildren: Dylan, Drew, Lily, Ella, Gage and Graham. She was predeceased by her two sons, Harvey Richard "Ricky" and Royce Kevin Reaves, grandson Cory Kevin Parker, four brothers and four...

Eva Mae Reaves, 89, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2017. She moved to Pensacola in 1948 with her loving husband of 68 years, Harvey Reaves. Eva is survived by her husband, two daughters, Glenda (Tony) Parker and Charlene (James) Myers; five grandchildren: Jay (Julie) Reaves, Justin (Stephanie) Parker, Shelly (Kelly) Parker, Chris Myers, and Matt (Brittny) Myers; and six great-grandchildren: Dylan, Drew, Lily, Ella, Gage and Graham. She was predeceased by her two sons, Harvey Richard "Ricky" and Royce Kevin Reaves, grandson Cory Kevin Parker, four brothers and four sisters.
Mrs. Reaves was a long-time, active member of Oakcrest Baptist Church and Myrtle Grove Baptist Church, where she spent many years volunteering to teach Sunday School. She loved children and was a caretaker to many family members over the years, starting from a very young age. Eva was known for her cooking. She will be missed by many.
The family request that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 223 West Gregory Street, Pensacola, Florida 32502.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Friday, June 16, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home. A service will be held graveside at Pensacola Memorial Gardens on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.
